Eppenstein castle ruins

From the Eppenstein ruins, you have a wonderful view over much of the Mur Valley. There are several benches for seating. All of these parts can be reached via stairs and small paths that are still very well preserved. The ruins themselves are also very well preserved. The path up to the ruins is easy, even for beginners. From up there, you can feel like you were in the old days. Unfortunately, the traffic noise from Eppenstein is extremely audible 😢.

The facility is kept in very good condition by the castle association and it is a great destination for which you do not need much time.

The climb up the ruins trail is tough and there are a lot of steps in the ruins, but the view definitely makes up for the effort.
