The path has now been fully resurfaced (09/09/2022) between Kirkintilloch and Lennoxtown. Surface is like a race track but be careful it’s very popular with dog walkers.

Helps avoid road traffic, relatively quiet. Surface is OK although a fair bit of tree root breaking through the tarmac. Take it easy you'll need the knees for the Campsies if you're heading that way! :-)

Great views and very quiet trail. It is completely separate from traffic and not many people on it. It's a bit narrow in parts and the surface is not super smooth, so not exactly the spot to set KOMs, but if you want to enjoy some chill cycling in a beautiful scenery, it's perfect.
