This temple once stood in Egypt and was a gift to Spain for helping with Aswan-Staudam. He is not very tall and not walkable, but a great photo opportunity - even at night. Attention, here too the lights go out at midnight.

The terrace behind the temple offers excellent views of the palace to the south and the rio Manzanares plain below with the Campo stretching to the west.

The Egyptian state donated the 2200 years-old temple of Debod to Spain in gratitude for the help in saving the Abu Simbel temples from flooding by the Assuan dam construction in 1968. It is one of the few complete works of ancient Egyptian architecture outside Egypt and the only one of its kind in Spain.
