The Rheintorturm is one of three remaining medieval city gates. The tower stands directly on the Rhine and is very solid. At this point a bridge crosses the Rhine.

Very nicely laid out with lots of seating and lounging options right on the Rhine with access to the water. There are also beer gardens along the route in the warm months. In winter you can take a break in the restaurants along the way and enjoy the view.
