Round tripStart / end: Oppenau in the Black ForestFrom Oppenau it goes the Lierbachtalweg to the Allerheiligen waterfalls, which we hike up to the monastery ruins. In the restaurant by the ruins of the monastery, you can rest in the beer garden. The next section goes neatly uphill to the Schliffkopf, to walk almost evenly to the refuge on the 1000 meter path (approx. 1000 meters in altitude) with beautiful views over the Black Forest, the Rhine plain to the Vosges. At the refuge there is again the opportunity to rest, possibly with coffee and cake on the large terrace. We continue over the paragliding launch site to the Buchkopfturm, which attracts with a wonderful view and then the descent to the Renchtalhütte begins, here there is also the opportunity to take care of your physical well-being.Further downhill is the Martinshof with its picnic area.At the fallow deer enclosure it goes towards "Kalter Brunnen" from there over Weberkreuz to Jägersbirk.Through partly narrow paths to the Ottersberg and then to Oppenau.Long and exhausting tour with a number of highlights, wonderful!

... a witch and a menhir rarely come alone!Starting point: Sohlberg (close to the hiking car park)
      End point: Lautenbach train station
Route: Felsenweg Ottenhöfen (complete), Hexensteig and Renchtalsteig (sections)The Ottenhöfener Felsenweg is very beautiful with many rock formations and great viewpoints. At the beginning and end of the regular tour, however, you walk on asphalt for some time, the rest of the way is through forest paths and over rocks.I didn't see a witch, but I passed two witch houses. After the armchair rock, however, the witch played a trick on me and I took the wrong junction at a crossroads with some hiking trails, I had to walk this route back later. The tour is definitely worth it.

I enjoyed this tour very much. The path is very varied and well signposted, there are plenty of places to sit and rest and a few places with drinking opportunities. It goes over wide forest paths, forest, meadow, sandstone and root paths. You should be in good physical condition and surefooted.I started at the "Renchtalhütte" hiking portal, there is a forest car park there. The Renchtalhütte is usually very well attended and the in-house parking lot is often full.

Nice tour from Oppenau over the Haldehofweg towards the plateau, from there over wide forest paths to the former town hall in Lierbach.
Along the Lierbach for a while to come back to Oppenau via the Karl-Seitz-Weg and the Panoramaweg.

Today we went on the pleasure trail "Durbacher Weitblick" and at today's second attempt I was lucky or the weather on my side to have and enjoy the "Weitblick". The first time fog came up right at the beginning of the tour. The tour leads on varied paths and entertaining trails through forests and vines, is very well signposted and the view is great (if the weather is good). At the start / end point there is a large parking lot with toilets and drinks fridge.

Walk to Lierbach to the Ziegenalm and back over parts of the “Rosi Rotkelchen” hiking trail to inspect the new hut “Oppenauer Hockerle” near the Kleinebene.

There are various hiking trails from Oppenau in the Renchtal to Gengenbach in the Kinzig valley. At the beginning we follow the Renchtalsteig to the paragliding starting point Ibach, from here you have a great view of Oppenau.
We follow the yellow and blue diamond symbol to the Mooskopf, there you can make a detour to the Moosturm, the view is amazing and to the Lothardenkmal with a view of the Kinzig valley.
From here we hike the Kandel-Höhenweg, this leads us over the Korn plane with a large rest area and catering, to Katzenstein with a view of Nordrach and a bench here invites you to rest and on to the Lärchenhütte.
From here the Way of St. James is added to the Kandel-Höhenweg until we come across the Bergle-Tour at the Teufelskanzel.
We follow the last 3 hiking trails through forest and vines with some beautiful views to Gegenbach with its wonderful old town and the city gates to end our tour.
The tour usually leads over wide forest roads and is easy to walk, but there are also narrow paths.
From Oppenau to the starting point, most of the vertical meters have to be overcome, this is done after an exhausting 65 minutes and is rewarded with a great view. From here it is mostly flat or downhill, there are only short and easy climbs in the course of the tour.

From Oppenau it went to the "Maisacher Turmsteig" and back again.
The premium hiking trail is worthwhile, but it is strenuous and you should be in good physical condition.
There are several waypoints with a great view of the surroundings and adjacent heights. The tour is varied and entertaining.
The Buchkopf Tower is the highlight of the tour, but on the weekend it is usually very busy, not to say overcrowded.
In the evening, when the book head tower is illuminated by the low sun, it glows golden in the dark Black Forest (clearly visible from Oppenau).

Hiking in the Renchtal, from Oppenau to Oberkirch "The totally cerebral ridge tour"The 21.5 km long tour took us past the Kutschhenkopf, Eselskopf, Simmersbacher Kopf, Langenbacher Kopf, Bärtleskopf and the 2nd Eselskopf, mostly on or along the mountain ridge, with beautiful views and wonderful nature. The ascent took place from Oppenau over the Kleinebene, plateau and from Rinken to Braunberg. From Braunberg above Sulzbach you have a magnificent view of the Rhine plain and the Vosges when the weather is nice.
