The barbecue area is in the immediate vicinity of the lake, which was created in the 1960s as a water reservoir for the vineyard irrigation when the vineyards were cleared. But it increasingly became a recreational lake. Although the shore areas are actually not allowed to be entered by humans or dogs and swimming is not allowed, it is considered a bathing lake, even for nudists. The barbecue area can be recommended for a lunch break on the tour through the Stromberg. Unfortunately mostly overcrowded on weekends.
