Also in the summer of 2021 there will be the great event "The Elbe is on fire" in August (13th?), Fire brigade and DLRG light up the river at night. Wonderful to watch from both sides of the Elbe, don't forget a picnic and blankets, the humidity makes the evenings cool. The campsite in Stove is ideal for overnight stays.

Many people think of the Elbe exclusively as an economically important waterway,
on which huge ships bring goods to the port of Hamburg. Far from it; the Elbe
is much more. Directly behind Hamburg begins a breathtaking river landscape. Hamburg residents enjoy relaxing here from the stresses of everyday city life, and vacationers come
from far away to enjoy the peace and beauty of nature.
The Elbe River Landscape features typical river and floodplain structures as well as
natural habitats, embedded in a centuries-old cultural landscape.
