The Dalbek Gorge is a beautiful nature reserve and a paradise for mountain bikers. It offers many types of trails that you can ride and are confident you can handle. Suitable for both beginners and professionals, with steep ascents and descents.

The west side is easier to ride – the east side has some difficult sections that require a great deal of concentration.

The Dalbek Gorge Nature Reserve extends across the municipalities of Börnsen, Escheburg, and Kröppelshagen. It is characterized by a gorge forest, crisscrossed by the Dalbek River, which has been preserved in its original form and features distinctive meanders.

The forest consists primarily of deciduous trees, with the common beech predominant.

The fascinating thing about the Dalbek Valley is its beauty, especially in spring.

The light-filled forest is home to extensive carpets of wood anemones.
