On the site of this fountain, from which healing water flows, was the Theresienbad built towards the end of the 19th century - popularly known as "Samer-Badl" after the first owner Theresia Fischer, née Waltl, who owned the Samern/ Reitham—designated.
Those suffering from gout and rheumatism in particular from St. Johann and the surrounding area sought healing or relief from their pain here. Source: Signage on site.

This is where the Theresienbad (or Samerbadl, as the locals called it) used to be, which was used as a natural spa for gout and rheumatism until the mid-20th century. Like the Thalmühle next to it, the bathhouse was demolished in the 1960s. Today only the Theresienbrunnen reminds of the old farmer's bath.
