The White Elster (Czech Bílý Halštrov) is a 245.4 km long right tributary of the Saale.
It rises in the Czech Republic in the Elstergebirge east of Aš (Asch), about one kilometer away from the German-Czech border (west of the boundary stone 5/18) in Bärendorf, near the village Výhledy (stone green) and flows in the south of the Halle district Silberhöhe in the Saale.
