Definitely worth a climb. From the village you always follow the path marked Weiss Rot Weiss. The rise is sometimes really steep and need good footwear. With breaks but for most to cope. Also suitable for dogs. A possibility for a rest with seating there is about half of the Stecke and of course at the top. Behind the castle there is a platform where you have a 360 degree view of the surroundings.

The highest castle ruins in Bohemia, built on the basalt hill of the same name. Guard castle of the powerful Wartenberg family.

It goes steeply uphill; the idea that enemies would storm the castle above is unthinkable; even for the lords of the castle (fully armored!) it must have been a grind to get up. - And yet, despite the high walls, it was conquered in 1468: the enemy sneaked into the castle with the returning cattle. - The Ralsko Castle (Rollburg) is Gothic (14th century), abandoned in the 15th century, since then an impressive ruin.
