In front of the memorial stone on the southern shore of Lake Müggelsee, the Köpenick Heimatverein commemorated Rudolf Rühl on the 100th anniversary of his death. Erich Hobusch, non-fiction author from Friedrichshagen, paid tribute to this well-deserved Köpenick local politician. Then the group met in the teaching cabinet of the Berlin forests at Teufelssee to drink mulled wine, which was carried out by the deputy Club chairman Ralf Drescher was organized. Another photo lecture by Erich Hobusch on the history of the forest rounded off the cozy get-together.

Hiking

Rudolf Rühl was forest administrator of Köpenick (then still Cöpenick). He campaigned for the preservation of the forest and recreational landscape around the Müggelsee, laid out public forest roads and campaigned against the clearing of the forest for building projects. We also have him to thank for the fact that we can still hike here today.
