As in neighboring Klein Schierstedt, there is also a church of grace here. This is a church consecrated in 1759. It is partly Gothic style and is one of the most beautiful buildings in Giersleben. Together with the church in the neighboring village of Klein Schierstedt, it is the only church built on a hill in the vicinity of the neighboring communities. Its bell, cast in Magdeburg in 1587, is one of the oldest bells from the time after the Reformation.
