The church on the Dobratsch also called "Windische Kirche"
actually means “Assumption of Mary on St. Stone".

It was built in 1690, in fulfillment of a vow made by the landowner of the lordship of Wasserleonburg, Freiherr von Semmler.

Until 1760 it was a branch of St. Georgen vor dem Bleiberge.
However, the church soon fell into disrepair and was restored in 1825.
In order to save it from further deterioration, the parish of Saak, under the leadership of Pastor Anton Matzneller and the lively participation of the population, took care of it and saved it in 2006 and 2007 under difficult conditions.

Since 2008 it has been owned by the parish of Saak.

The difficult weather conditions make it necessary to carry out ongoing repairs.

This church is located directly on the summit cross of the Dobratsch. It is the Slovenian church, where many candles and pictures of the deceased are placed as a memorial. I paused for a moment too.
