A nice bivouac area to spend one night, although in the weekends/holidays there might be noise with people not using this accordingly. Please don't be an idiot who comes to party here, it's one of the few free and beautiful places left to camp in Limburg.

At the Grootloon bivouac site, you are a guest in the unique environment of a rare standard orchard. This public orchard was created in collaboration with the town of Borgloon by the Haspengouw & Voeren Regional Landscape in consultation with associations and other interest groups. It is an adventure, play and educational garden. As a bivouacist, you are not an exclusive guest. In addition, on nice days, the orchard is also a popular stopover for passing walkers, cyclists and picnickers.
