Charente Riverside Path at La Meure

A bridge that marks the start of adventure. Coming from Angoulême, crossing the bridge allows you to switch to a more bucolic atmosphere on the Meure trails. This bridge is the first real transition between the more "wild" countryside on the banks of the Charente and the conurbation of Angoulême.
Possibility of eating out in Nersac (cross the bridge to the south) or in the hamlet of La Meure with its Pont de la Meure inn.

Path located south of the Pont de la Meure, between a wooded hillside and the Charente, with a few islands. It consists of a dirt track, just wide enough for pedestrians and bicycles. The path is therefore non-drivable for most motor vehicles, which guarantees a certain tranquility.

A few kilometers from Angoulême, first sensations of freedom following the Charente on the narrow paths of the segment. Few cyclists or hikers in this place, possibility of going to the Sireuil bridge.
Slippery and quite muddy ground in case of rain.
