The top of three watermills on the course of the Schleifbach is also the oldest of its kind in the region. It was first mentioned in the 15th century. Around 1600 it had three grinding mills. Since 1708 it has included a cutting mill and later an oil mill. The mill operation was discontinued at the end of the 1940s. The mill has been extensively reconstructed, is functional and has had a water wheel again since 2002. In addition to the mill pond, the extensive grounds include a stone oven, a reconstructed barn with historical equipment and machinery and a herb garden.

The entire area is a museum inside and out. It's free, but there is a donation pot. We passed here on the Way of St. James (komoot.de/tour/901067383). The museum is highly recommended.
