Eckernförde Beach

Eckernförde beach is about four kilometers long. Fine quartz sand everywhere. Just great!

On the B 76 you come right along the beach and already feel like going out to sea.

Eckernförde Beach is located 25 km northwest of Kiel at the end of Eckernförde Bay. Eckernförde has a sandy beach, an old town and a harbor. A fish market with many small attractions and stalls takes place here every first Sunday of the month. You can take the freshly caught fish directly from the cutter.

There is also a lot on offer for guests on the beach. There is a beach bar where you can get cocktails, many small restaurants and cafes.
Those who prefer it sporty can play a round of beach soccer or volleyball on the specially marked fields.
Of course, the needs of water sports enthusiasts are also taken care of, the surf school has a wide range of offers. The ideal weather conditions not only attract professionals, beginners can also learn surfing and stand-up paddling here. If you have your dog with you, you can relax and swim in a beach chair on the dog beach.
An art mile that leads across the promenade shows numerous works of art. Among other things, the famous mermaid can be found here, which makes a very good photo motif.
If the weather is not so great, you can make an exciting day trip to the seawater wave pool.
