Kiekut (Danish: Kikud) is a town on the Eckernförde Bay in Schleswig-Holstein, which is an official part of the Altenhof municipality. The village is part of the "Coastal Landscape Protection Area of Danish Welfare".

In the half-timbered cottage with thatched roof, which was built in 1931 and is now located directly on Bundesstrasse 76, there is now a restaurant. In 1845, Kiekut is mentioned as a small piece of land and it is pointed out that there used to be a brick factory in the village.

After the Second World War, emergency shelters were built directly on the beach below the steep coast and afterwards (rented out by the Eckernförde spa administration) vacation homes were built by the Ich building, some of which are still standing today. A mission children's home was built above the steep coast from 1947 onwards.

The Jordan, a creek about five kilometers long, flows into the Baltic Sea in Kiekut. From the 1950s to the mid-1960s, a tent camp for children was set up between the Jordan estuary and the Kiekut inn every year during the summer holidays, organized by the AWO local association in Eckernförde.

In 1960 I spent my first camping holiday in a small tent here with my parents, brother and sister. Unforgotten. I still have two black and white photos of them, but I better not put them here because the quality is not good and they don't fit here either

About 6000 to 8000 years ago, when the water level in the Baltic Sea was seven to eight meters lower than it is today, a settlement of the Ertebølle culture was located in the area of the then Jordan estuary about half a kilometer away from today's Baltic Sea .
Kiekut also includes the coastal peace burial forest today.
