The monument "Steinerner Mann" stands in the Schwedenholz on the Dürrenberg, at an altitude of about 610 m above sea level. The summit of the Dürrenberg is at 656 m, just outside the municipal corridor. A narrow, approx. 130 cm high memorial column with a stone human head was erected at the site of the accident. During a dispute around 1900, the head was cut off and buried. In July 1994 Fritz Kleemann (born 1927 in Kurzenaltheim, resident in Berolzheim) renovated the memorial, placing a self-carved head made of dark red sandstone on it. The memorial has long been called the 'Stone Man'. "
