Visit to the sand tower
The large tower of the deanery church in Písek now serves as a viewpoint. Visitors in organized groups climb 210 steps to the viewing level of 42 m. Due to the limited number of participants per tour (max. 10 people), we recommend prior reservation of the tour online or in the Písek Tourist Information Center. Please be at the main entrance of the church (west side) about 5 minutes before the agreed time.

The church dates from the second half of the 13th century. Originally the church had two low towers, the appearance of which resembled the current lower north tower. At the end of the 15th century, however, the south tower was rebuilt and increased to 72 meters. Today it offers a great view of the city at a height of 42 m.
