Stork's Nest Tower / Copper Tower, Rheinfelden
The eastern tower of the old town is the home of the storks. The tower room can be rented and offers a view of the roofs of the old town.
Tower for the defense of the city.
The first tower dates from the 13th century and was built by the city of Rheinfelden as part of the city's expansion at the time. At that time there was no passage or gate. The current tower is 28 meters high. The bullet marks on the east side are evidence of the Swedish attack in the Thirty Years' War.
The Stork's Nest Tower is not open to the public. However, anyone who would like to visit it can visit it as part of a city tour and enjoy the beautiful view over the old town streets. The tower room can also be rented.

The copper or stork's nest tower:
The first structure from the 13th century did not have a gate.
With some visible bullet marks from earlier sieges.
The nest on the tower roof was inhabited until the 20th century

Well-preserved contemporary witness. Its slim side view leaves the viewer open-mouthed and amazed. Specifically, its wood-like tower structure.
