Cycling

Kemna concentration camp was one of the first concentration camps in Germany at the time! Political prisoners and opponents of the Nazi regime were imprisoned there. Some of them were transported to nearby companies and factories for forced labor, as these factories produced for the armaments industry between 1939 and 1945 and needed every available laborer. The former concentration camp is still part of a factory located on the main road toward Beyenburg. The memorial on the opposite side commemorates this period.
