This is inside Hulne Park. A private park owned by the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland which is free to go in and walk around. During the winter months the park is sometimes closed so check on Northumberland Estates website for details. Unfortunately no dogs allowed.

Hiking

Hulne Priory was founded in 1240, and today much of the building survives although in ruins. The stone figures of monks who watch over the ruins where added in the 18th century.

The ruins of the abbey are definitely worth visiting at Hulne Park, very fascinating.
