The hamlet Breitenbach, formerly a proud farming village, was repeatedly overshadowed by famine over the centuries. Finally, the prince decided to give up the farms and reforest the area. Today only a few people live in the remaining buildings. Directly on the Nibelungensteig is the small chapel, which is still very well preserved.
