Unfortunately, this tour is overrated. We hike very often on the Kühkopf, but the Apfel-Allee is not necessarily a high point. The planting now has many gaps and some trees lead a miserable existence. The trail is a paved road and is not a pleasant walk. There are better hikes on the Kühkopf.
