Everyone goes to Bamburgh, when in this vicinity. Not many people explore NORTH of Bamburgh. The 'crowds' (*relative term) disperse and the beach is deserted. The stretch of coast around to Budle Bay, into the Lindisfarne Nature Reserve, is lovely. If you're here - go there...

Great view to Bamburgh Castle on the beach. The whole Northumbrian coast is highly recommended due to its ever changing landscapes, which range from sand beaches to rock beaches, dunes to dramatic cliffs, all within a day's walk.
