It is much nicer - and safer - to drive on the "old railway line" than the alternative options (Gaustraße WO-Neuhausen, main street WO-Herrnsheim).

Cycling

The path continues until just before Abenheim. Unfortunately, no gravel was filled up for many years. When it rains I therefore advise to wider tires and studs. Not recommended with the road bike. As Biitii 105 already wrote, one can bypass the city traffic here as a cyclist and find connection to the bike path to Osthofen or in the other direction (through the underpass) to get to the Rhine - bike path to Rheindürkheim.
