Water tower in the Feldmark on Harsumer Mühlenweg

The construction of the branch canal near Hasede in 1922 meant that the town's existing springs dried up, the water level fell and the water-storing area of the wave dried up. This name, which is still preserved today, probably owes its origin to the waves of 13 springs. After the spring died, the canal administration laid a water pipe in the village, which was fed from a well in the Feldmark. The Haseder landmark, the water tower with its associated collecting basin, dates from this time. Both are closed today because Hasede has been getting its drinking water from the Harz waterworks in the Harz dams since 1975.

All considerations about using the water tower for something else as a water storage facility have so far failed to produce any results. For security reasons, it can only be viewed from the outside. The water tower is an industrial monument.
