The Caligo tower (or Caligo tower) was an ancient fortress that stood in the current municipality of Jesolo; it was located west of the capital, on the banks of the Caligo canal, which branches off from the Sile shortly before. Today only the base remains.
It has early medieval origins (the Camaldolese Annals place its construction in 930) but was probably built on a previous building from the imperial era. The material used is certainly Roman: stone ashlars at the base and then courses of bricks.
