The Witches Tower has a long history that goes back to the 12th century, when a moated castle still stood here. In the 17th century the witch commissioners raged here, arresting and executing people accused of witchcraft. Today the Hexenturm can be rented for celebrations with up to 30 people.

Between 1631 and 1636 around 130 people were imprisoned behind the two meter thick walls made of quarry stone. They were accused of being witches and were ultimately burned. Bad story. Today, the "Witches' Tower" houses a local history collection, and the building is also used by the city as a community center.
