Gut Buckhagen is located about five kilometers from Kappeln at the entrance to the Baltic Sea to the Schlei in the Fishing region. The center of the manor is the large manor house made of beige bricks with a tower. The manor house was built in its present form around 1660. The foundation walls are even older and date back to 1231. In 1863 the Hamburg merchant and consul Gustav Wilhelm von Schiller bought the estate.Since then it has been owned by the von Schiller family and is now managed by Alexander von Schiller, who lives on the estate with his wife and three sons. An active farm belongs to the estate, with crops, forest and meadows. There are several holiday apartments on the farm that have been extensively renovated in recent years. A private path (approx. 200 m) leads to an idyllic place on the banks of the Schlei. A private jetty is located in Rabelsund directly on the banks of the Schlei.gut-buckhagen.de/gutshof

The estate, which belongs to the municipality of Rabel, was built in the middle of the 17th century and has been preserved along with most of the moat. It is still fully managed by the von Schiller family.
