The station tower was built on the remains of a Prussian field hill from 1813. In 2009, a functional, true-to-original replica of the signal system was built in the Albert Einstein Science Park in the immediate vicinity of the old station location. An information board and regular guided tours provide information about the station and the optical telegraph line.
