This type of ridge crossing is not very common: high and with great views, but not exposed due to the many mountain pines. The path is only classified as T2 and is actually easy to walk. The descents from the Grosser Traithen and the Steilner Joch are more demanding (T3).

Beautiful tightrope walk from the Great Traithen to the Steilner Joch with fantastic views. The path, however, runs a lot and long through mountain pine fields - here it is stiflingly hot, as in the sauna. So pack enough to drink, otherwise it can quickly become very unpleasant.
