Augsburg Müllberg Recreation Area

Where is the best view of Augsburg and the surrounding area? On the local recreation area on the Augsburg garbage dump, which has been open since the end of 2016, which rises 55 m high and at least a little satisfies the longing for the mountains in good weather.

There are two entrances - each secured by a turnstile: one as an extension of the Jagdweg in the Firnhaberau over a small bridge over the motorway and one on the Lech side a little south of the Europaweiher in Gersthofen.

The entrances are open in the winter months (October to March) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from April to September from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. After that you can still go out but not in.

However, cycling is forbidden - hence the turnstiles. It's a shame ... :-(
