The Wartenbach used to be an important drift water. The Wartenbach was heavily straightened as a flowing water for the transport of wood. Although this led to a desired increase in the flow rate, it also increased erosion. Here some of the bank walls were built from red sandstone and are still clearly visible today.

A wonderful path along an old drift system, very mystical with lots of green, with clover and fern and lots of moss and dead wood. In addition, the babbling of the brook, perfect!

The path along the Wartbach is fantastic and beautiful!
Sometimes stream meadows, sometimes swampy, then again meadow path that alternates with forest! Past quaint ponds and the rushing brook created by artificially created "waterfalls" ...
