A visit to Hitzacker is always worthwhile! Hitzacker is a small health resort that lies directly on the Elbe and has a pretty little old town. A visit to the vineyard is also recommended, from which you have a great view of Hitzacker's city island, the Elbe and Elbe valley.
There is also a small ferry in Hitzacker for cyclists and pedestrians, with which you can cross the Elbe (the ferry only runs from mid-March to mid-October).
