It is also worth making a detour to St. Magarethen and from there straight on along the Elbe towards Brunsbüttel. A few kilometers further on, the path splits and the bike signs direct you to the right. But simply continue to the left and you drive directly past the Brunsbüttel nuclear power plant through open gates. You have to lift the bike over a sheep gate twice. At the end you reach the old lock and the pilot house of Brunsbüttel. Interesting section of the route!
