This hall was a cinema hall until August 13, 1961, which was mainly visited by Hohen Neuendorf citizens.
Why ❔
Even before the Wall was built, the world was divided into East and West. As a result of this division, western films 🎥 were predominantly shown THERE.
In the Hohen Neuendorf cinema, on the other hand, only films that the GDR ( founded in 1948 ) had censored and approved were allowed to be shown.
