Very unknown highlight, you drive with the gondola between the houses and across the East River! it's worth it! Ride costs as much as a metro ride!

The cable car is 945 m long and has three cable car towers up to 76 m high, raising it to the height required to cross ship traffic on the East River and traffic on an exit ramp of the Queensboro Bridge. Since the terminal in Manhattan is adjacent to E 60th St., but the cable car has to use the airspace above this street, it cannot run parallel to the Queensboro Bridge, only at a very acute angle. Due to the lack of space, the first tower in Manhattan occupies a section of a lane on E 60th St. The middle tower stands over this street with an asymmetrical structure.
Since its inception, the cable car has carried over 30 million passengers. Although not part of the Metropolitan Transit Authority, the journey can be paid for with the so-called MetroCard. A one-way ticket costs the same as a trip on the subway.
