At the foot of the Watzmann, in the middle of the mountains is the protracted Königssee. Like a fjord it nestles between the steep cliffs of the surrounding mountains. It is already developed for mass tourism. Definitely outside of the holidays, never on the weekend. This is the only way to enjoy it. The Königssee is really beautiful.
