The small pilgrimage chapel stands in the middle of the forest on a ravine, six kilometers southwest of Bad Königswerth (Lázně Kynžvart) above the village Podlesí. The chapel is named after the brook of the same name, which winds its way through the local valley. The oldest written reference about this place dates back to 1804. However, the probable founding date of the place of pilgrimage is rather 1730th The today's block building of the chapel dates from the years 1931-32.
