This mountain inn was originally a hunter's house, and was first mentioned in 1832.
In 1895 it was first mentioned as a forester's house on the "Gibacht".

The Gibacht mountain inn is a great place to stop and an ideal start or end point for a hike or bike tour. In front of the inn there is also a hiking car park with numerous parking spaces. Cozy mountain inn with a long tradition - as early as 1910, hikers stopped here in the forest at the Gibacht forester's lodge. Today you can let yourself be spoiled with Bavarian cuisine while taking a break and at the same time admire the glass works of art by Ralph Wenzel. The glass artist also created the glass summit cross on the Reiseck.
