1552 a "Gerken Syckendyck" is mentioned in the archive of the Osnabrück good Palsterkamp. The farm itself had the site number "6" in Bockhorst and was one of the 37 farms that were recorded in the "Ravensberger Urbar" from 1556. Over the centuries, the spelling of the court should change several times. Until 1711 the farm remained dependent on the Palsterkamp. But then the farmer Johann Peter Sickendiek was able to buy himself free. Incidentally, his son Johann Hermann Sickendiek was not only a farmer, but also a surveyor. On the occasion of the market division, he was responsible for the measurement and drawing of the parcels in the parishes Bockhorst and Versmold. In 1836 the farm was rebuilt. The company also owned a water mill on the opposite side of the road until 1970. The belonging to the mill pond is still available today. In 1879, a nephew of the farmer's wife Franziska Sickendiek, born. Meyer to hear the yard. Since then, the site has been called Meyer-Sickendiek. Today, the farm is known for its typical Ravensberg Festdeele.
