Kapfenhardter Mühle

The original Schwarzwaldmühle is quiet and idyllic in a side valley of the Nagold, between Unterreichenbach and the climatic health resort Schömberg in the spa and spa district Calw.The hotel with restaurant and the flour mill with oil mill and rapeseed oil filling station.
Comfort and nostalgia are connected in the traditional mill. As early as 1260, the estate was mentioned as a mill in a document. Since 1873 the owners bear the name Mönch. In 1874 the Fuhrmannsschänke was granted a bargain.An oak support beam at the reception testifies to the year 1692. Owner Eckhard Mönch is now in the sixth generation in the family business as a master miller and took over the mill from his father Günther Mönch in 2003.In 1963, the grinding mill was moved from the main building to another building on the estate. Since then, the original mill building has operated as a hotel and restaurant. The large wooden windmill with a diameter of 7 m is a tourist attraction reminiscent of bygone days when hydropower was still the only source of energy.

Very idyllic location and the Black Forest cake is highly recommended!
