Mynydd Bodafon is a small collection of peaks including Yr Arwydd which is the highest point on the island of Anglesey. It lies about 2+1⁄2 miles west of the coastal town of Moelfre and ⅔ of a mile south-west of the hamlet of Brynrefail. The meaning of Bodafon is obscure.

You can see the road below that you came in on to give you an idea of the height.

You ascend past hills blanketed in purple heather and ferns to reach this point. Between the hedgerows, farmers' gates give you glimpses over Anglesey and towards the sea.

These white-stone cottages beside a lake are incredibly picturesque. You will find yourself dreaming of living a quieter island life here. There's a bench overlooking the lake which made for a perfect sandwich stop.

Beautiful location with the purple heather, rocky outcrops, and the lake. The descent towards Brynrefail is mega, you can really send it!
