Tips
In addition to the king's gate, the Berlinertor, the powder tower in the western direction is a part of the fortification that can be seen from afar. Wernicke writes that the round tower was built in a masterly manner from field stones at the bottom and from bricks in good lime mortar on top.
The entry opening is at a height of 7m. Its diameter is 7.40m. The fieldstone masonry is approx. 2.50m thick, the height up to the rim is 21m and the total height is 25.70m.
