For the former forester's house, a jug privilege was granted at the beginning of the 18th century. It was given to the chief hunter Hermann K. Kruse from Kohlstädt. Many forest workers visited the pitcher to refresh themselves after early work. Some even lived in the outbuildings of the jug. In 1782 the jug was sold to the Lippe pension chamber. In the years 1875-1895 the pitcher was closed to the public and was only used as a forester's house. Since the beginning of the 20th century it has been used as a restaurant, as it is today.
