The Delmegrundsee, or the Delmenhorstern better known under the name "Mili" is located in the Adelheide district and was only used by the Delmenhorst garrison until 1945.
On the southern shore of Lake Delmegrund, sand was probably mined for the construction of the Adelheide air base.
For this purpose, a rectangular hole was excavated as a jump area and received a concrete frame, as well as starting blocks and ladders. Construction began on May 18, 1936. This bathhouse was used by the Wehrmacht soldiers of the Caspari barracks and the barrack camp at Düsternort.
After 1945 the "Mili" was made accessible to the general public again as a bathing establishment. The bathroom was then operated by the AWO. In 1968 the "Mili" was closed as a bathing establishment.
