Hiking
Beautiful and peaceful monastery (13th century). The chapel is worth a visit. It is small and cosy. The wall paintings are breathtaking despite some are damaged. In the monastery grounds there is a great viewpoint over the city

The Vlatades Monastery (Greek Μονή των Βλατάδων Moní ton Vlatádon) is the only remaining Byzantine monastery in the city of Thessaloniki. It is a stauropegic, i.e. H. Monastery directly subordinate to the Ecumenical Patriarchate, located in the upper town directly below the Acropolis and has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage since 1988.
